Description
16 Steep Slope is called A Family Place because it is set up to make families comfortable. Starting with a large, level driveway that can hold 4-6 vehicles it is easy to unload with no steps to navigate into the house. You enter the front door into the family room with a cathedral ceiling, skylight and beautiful native stone, wood-burning fireplace with raised hearth.
The main level has a dining table that seats 8, plus a large eat-in kitchen with additional seating for 6. Or you can enjoy eating outdoors at the picnic table that seats 12-14. A gas grill is provided for your use. The kitchen is equipped well enough to cook Thanksgiving dinner for 16 - because that's what the owners do! If you want to prepare many of your meals here, you won't have to worry about having what you need.
The family room has a queen sleep sofa and matching love seat and TV/DVD. The main level also has the master bedroom with TV and a full bath. The walk-in closet in the master bedroom is where you can find board games, a playpen, high chair, card table and chairs and other items that families sometimes need. Upstairs you will find a large bedroom suite with a vaulted ceiling that includes a TV/DVD, a queen bed, two twins and a full bath. Downstairs you will find a family room with a TV/DVD, a foosball table, and two sofas (one is a queen sleep sofa). The toy box is stocked with toys for little ones. There is a large bathroom, plus a laundry area with super capacity washer and dryer on this level. The last bedroom is located downstairs with a queen bed and bunk beds (and an air hockey table).
The house has Cable TV and wireless broadband internet access. There are large decks with plenty of seating and an extra large hot tub that will seat 8-10. Perfect for 2-3 small families to share (each can take a level), or large families, groups or reunions. Plenty of space to spend time together, and private areas where you can get some alone time! The lot is semi-private, has a horseshoe pit, and is surrounded by wooded areas. Northpoint has direct access to trails in the National Forest. Pet friendly.

We had a wonderful time at the Family Place. There were 14 of us and there was plenty of room to spread out or gather together. It was very comfortable and clean. It was welled stocked with appliances, cookware, games, bedding. Everyone had a great time and suggested we make it a yearly trip.

The Family Place was an amazing and wellKept cabin for a family trip or group of friends looking to get away for a few days. The hot tub was surprising in size and could comfortably fit more people than we expected. Tons of games and kitchenware to make meals and enjoy quality time after venturing around Davis. We got snowed in and had to treck ourselves and our baggage down the mountain where we kept our vehicles before the storm hit so we were unable to take the trash to the provided bin but an overall absolutely amazing time and place to stay. 10/10 recommend.

The people in the office were very friendly and accommodating. We needed to find a hatchet to chop the fire wood into smaller pieces. We called the office and they let us borrow one. Everyone was very pleasant.

A Family Place is spacious and has enough bedrooms and bathrooms to be comfortable even when you bring your extended family. We found the beds to be comfortable as well. The kitchen is large and well stocked. We were very happy to have stayed there.
